Individuals with legal problems need a patient and knowledgeable attorney who can carefully explain their options and offer reliable information. Hello, I am Attorney Joshua A. Sutterfield and I am an experienced consumer bankruptcy lawyer. It is my strong belief that an attorney should personally work with clients throughout the legal process. Clients who retain my services find that I am prompt about returning calls and handling their concerns as well as a strong advocate for their rights.

My education and professional background are excellent assets for clients who are in need of reliable legal counsel. I received my Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in Advocacy, which emphasized trial practice and negotiations and settlement. While in law school, I worked at the California Attorney General’s Criminal Appeals Writs and Trial Division, handling complex legal issues. In addition to running my own law Firm, I have done Of Counsel work at a large Bankruptcy and Real Estate Firm in the Sacramento Area.

For my undergraduate studies, I earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Government with Cum Laude honors from Sacramento State University. While there I was inducted into the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society. I have also served in many leadership roles such as: Community Outreach Director for Golden Key, where I organized many charitable events for the Sacramento community.
